PaganTibet (“Reconstructing the Pagan Religion of Tibet”) is funded by an Advanced Grant of the European Research Council (ERC) Executive Agency, European Union Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 program (grant agreement number 101097364). 1. As part of its mission, the PaganTibet project makes its data available to the public for research, teaching, and personal use.
2. Where possible, PaganTibet provides information about copyright owners and terms that legislate the appropriate use of data and materials.
3. PaganTibet does not in most cases have the right to protect the cited materials.
4. The user must determine and respect copyright or other restrictions on use when publishing or otherwise distributing the cited data or materials.

EXCEPTIONS
Not all data and materials produced, collected, or analysed within the scope of the PaganTibet project are covered by a Creative Commons License. These exceptions include but may not be limited to:
Graphics and academic publications. Rights are granted to the authors unless otherwise stated.
Visual, audio, and audiovisual materials. These were recorded, and some published, with the permission of the people involved or depicted solely for limited research purposes. It may be necessary to obtain further permissions from those people to use such materials in other contexts and/or for other purposes.
Privacy policy
This Personal Data Confidentiality Policy informs you of the manner in which the ERC PaganTibet project collects and processes your personal data. It may change in accordance with legislation that may come into force.
1. Subject of the data processing
Through the “Contact” email and “Newsletter” registration: the information you share with us, notably your name, your contact information/email address, and the content of your message.
2. Purposes
The purpose of processing is to manage requests made via 1) the contact email address and 2) the Newsletter registration form found on the PaganTibet website. It enables the PaganTibet project to receive your request and to manage follow-up.
3. Legal basis
The legal basis for the processing of personal data that you provide to us is your consent, which is given when you submit an email to pagantibet@gmail.com or when you click the “Sign Up” button to receive the PaganTibet Newsletter.
4. Data processed
Categories of data processed:
· Identity (Name, First Name), if given;
· Contact information (email address);
· Subject of the request, if any;
· Message, if any.
5. Recipients of the data
The recipient of the collected personal data on the website is the website owner: ERC PaganTibet, and specifically the PI, Charles Ramble, the administrator, Estelle Car, and the communications manager, Sarah Teetor. If you contact us via the contact address on the website, we will, where appropriate, pass your details and the nature of your request to the PI’s email address for you to be contacted back. The previously mentioned data shall be collected at this same email address.
6. Data retention period
The conservation of the personal data was set to a length of 3 years after collection. All personal data will be expunged at the end of the PaganTibet project at the latest.
7. Your rights regarding your data
You have the right to ask the PaganTibet team for access to, rectification of, erasure of, or portability of your personal data, or a restriction of the processing of your personal data by the PaganTibet project. You may also withdraw your consent to the processing of your data insofar as the processing is based on it. In this case, the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to the withdrawal of consent will not be called into question. You have the right to give general or specific instructions regarding the conservation, erasure, and communication of your personal data after your death. You can exercise your rights by sending your request by post to the address below, specifying the nature of your request:
